Work Station Cranes in Glass Manufacturing

Case Study

How a leading Glass Manufacturer delivered a safer and more efficient processing system with Gorbel Work Station Cranes

Overview

In 2020, our client committed to significant capital investment across three manufacturing plants in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch in New Zealand.

Focussing on a range of manual handling concerns, Gorbel Work Station Bridge Cranes were introduced - delivering a safer, more efficient and truly ergonomic lifting solution which addressed workplace injury events commonly associated with glass handling.

With an emphasis on operator safety and productivity, Matpack NZ worked closely with the client to specify and install Cranes for their Cutting Tables, Furnaces, KSR and Heat Soak Areas.

Calling on significant industry expertise, Matpack ensured seamless integration with highly specialised glass handling equipment and noted “the attitude of the client in both the planning & installations phases was critical to the success of the project”
