Safetech Installation Requirements
(Where Safetech is engaged to install and commission equipment.)
Compliance with these requirements are the responsibility of distributor/customer and include but are not limited to:
1 - Relevant permits and authorisations required to complete the works must be supplied by customer/distributor;
2 - Site access must be clear of obstruction and available for unrestricted delivery, acceptance, unloading and installation of equipment with traffic control provided by others;
3 - Normal Site access hours are from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday;
4 - An allowance of 1 hour per staff member has been allocated for site inductions. Attendance for tool box and planning meetings shall only occur on days that staff are scheduled to be on-site;
5 - Site access must be concrete, hard stand or otherwise suitably stable firm ground for transport and installation of equipment;
6 - Building works must not restrict access or installation;
7 - All civil works such as pits, form work, precast walls, shafts, concrete cut outs, floor and roof heights, landing heights provided by others must be designed, constructed to and within the tolerances specified by Safetech in its technical documentation;
8 - Live Power supply (permanent or temporary), phone lines and other utility services specified for this equipment and required for installation and commissioning must be available at the time of install;
9 - The site and site-specific services or equipment required by Safetech and provided by others such as tower cranes, forklifts, access equipment must be fit for the purpose, compliant with all Occupational Health and Safety requirements and available for the duration of the installation;
10 - Safetech is not responsible for installation delays due to adverse environmental conditions, unscheduled site closures, safety shutdowns or industrial action beyond Safetech’s control;
11 - Safetech will charge for all unscheduled delays and work variations;
12 - Occupational Health & Safety Regulations place the responsibility on the owner and user to determine the suitability of equipment for any use. It is recommended that all applicable industry, trade association, federal, state and local regulations are checked.
