Product Summary

This system was custom developed for the purpose of changing the trunion assembly at the Rio Tinto site in WA.

Equipment includes:

• One driven flatbed trolley
• One hydraulic scissor lift table

Driven Flatbed Trolley

The trolley is equipped with Castors designed to steer +/- 65degrees, enabling it to drive, turn both pairs of castors, and then drive perpendicular to the first direction of travel. Each end of the trolley steers independently of each other making positioning of the unit easier.

The Battery operated 36VDC power supply enables the machine to drive without requiring any trailing cables or external power requirements during operation.
Prior to operation, charging is via an IP rated 10amp single phase inlet on side of machine

The trolley is designed with sufficient traction and stability to negotiate the 1:6 ramp access into the car dumper vault. Trolley travel drive incorporates a nominal speed of approx 100mm/sec and a creep speed of approx 20mm/sec.

Operation of the trolley is by radio remote control.

The trolley deck incorporates an array of UHMWPE inserts to allow the trunnion to be easily slid in any direction. The trolley deck incorporates anchor points for a come-along to allow the trunnion to be pulled into position and means to secure the trunnion once positioned on the trolley.

Hydraulic Scissor Lift Table

The scissor deck incorporates an array of UHMWPE inserts to allow the trunnion to be easily slid in any direction. The scissor deck incorporates anchor points for a come-along to allow the trunnion to be pulled into position.

When fully lowered, the lift table platform locks to the trolley to allow a safe and stable transfer of the trunnion from the lift table onto the trolley.

The lift table sits on top of the trolley to be transported into the car dumper vault. Once in the vault, the lift table uses its own hydraulics to demount from the trolley (manually controlled). Once in the vault, the lift table plugs into a 240V single phase outlet.
