The Low Profile Range: No Pit required

Safetech are the only Australian company to offer Low Profile Dock Lifts that do not need to be set into a pit.
Available in 1, 2 and 4 tonne models they offer customers a unique advantage. Installation is simple with no concrete pit and relocation is just as easy.

Safetech Boom Gates

Safetech's dock lifts include market leading boom gate design to enhance safety and user convenience.

They feature:

• An enclosed guard lock that eliminates accidental opening of the boom gate when it travels to the elevated position.
• Gas struts to assist operator when opening boom gate. These gas struts are housed within the boom mechanism to prevent injury to fingers or limbs from pinch points.
• The robust two piece post provides excellent strength but enables easy access for servicing and maintenance.
• The twin rail boom design complies with NSW’s mandatory safety gate requirements.
• No "keeper" post required for the locking mechanism as it is already positioned at the post pivot point for easy installation.
• The entire design has created a pinch point free boom gate no matter what position the boom arm is in.

Basic Design

The scissor lifts tables basic design combines a scissor mechanism with an on-board or remote power pack and a large platform that can be used to elevate multiple pallet loads of goods between a dock and a vehicle. This enables users to rapidly move large volumes of product in a single lift whilst eliminating manual handling or injury risk to workers.

Commonly these tables are used in floor to mezzanine and floor to floor applications where single or multiple pallet loads or equipment are being transferred.

Personnel lifts need to comply with Occupational Health and Safety regulations regarding the safe carrying of people on a scissor table.

To help ensure that we provide you with the best possible solution for your problem please consider the following areas when analyzing your requirement

A. Define Function

Consider the following when describing function
 

• The lift table is to be used to transfer x product
• This lift table is used to transfer goods from ground level, down to the below ground plant or to conveyor level, or vehicle level etc.
• Duty cycle is 5 lifts per hour 8 hrs per day etc
• Personnel lift required or is the lift table is to carry freight only, if so personnel shall not ride on the hoist.
• The lift table will comply with standard AS 1418 part 8 – 2008 etc

B. Access and building detail/surrounds

• The lift table structure will be freestanding/ will be in a shaft/will be adjacent to etc
• Details of the concrete/ forces imposed onto the concrete for large lift table
• When fully raised, the lift table platform will be flush with adjacent ground level. No part of the lift table platform or structure will project above ground level.
• Access for installation and maintenance to be considered
• Environment the lift table will be operating in e.g dry, wet, washdown, corrosive, dusty

• The lift table incorporates a remote hydraulic power unit. The power unit (approx 1000mm x 800mm x 1500mm high) must be located at the lower level, adjacent to the base of the hoist.

e.g We require a 415V 3 phase + neutral 20 (perhaps 30) Amp switched outlet (Clipsal 56C520 or similar) adjacent to the hydraulic power unit.
