Application:

Order picking for retails stores throughout Australia. Pallet loads are formed then stretch wrapped. The existing operation required manual hand stretch wrapping

The Problem:

Hand wrapping of pallets led to inconsistency of film tension and the need to walk around pallets and bend to wrap was stressful and causing worker injury and fatigue.

There was also a problem with film tags coming loose at the base of the pallet.
